With Admin Toolbox, you can efficiently perform bulk modifications across all your versions in Jira projects. These changes include:
Updating the name and description of a version.
Adding a version to multiple projects.
Removing a version from multiple projects.
Deleting a version from multiple projects.
Creating versions
Create a new version by clicking the Add Version button at the top right of the bulk change popup. A version can only be created if it is associated with at least one project.
Updating versions
To update a version's name or description, click the Edit button next to the displayed version.
Versions are grouped by name, not by ID.
Editing a version that is related to several projects results in updating the version in each of that projects.
White spaces in version names:
Until Jira version 8.12.0, version names could include leading or trailing white spaces. Such versions won’t be grouped together even if they share the same name.
Adding or removing versions
To add or remove a version from a project, simply select the desired projects from the select box adjacent to the version.
Only specific projects displayed
You can only select those projects that are also selected in the filter at the top of the popup.
However, you can refine your selection inside the bulk change popup, too.
